LGTS Thessaloniki Airport 'Interesting Birds'
One of the most beautiful Aircraft ever built is the DC3.
In the pictures is the Military version C47D Skytrain.
Instead of becoming part of a museum or maybe restored to something interesting (Maybe a cafe somewhere), it was decided to be dumped.
Trying to find its complete history and will update the post when done!
The second (not clearly seen) interesting bird is on the second picture and you can see its tail just behind the DC3's number 1 engine.
It is a Sud Aviation SE 210 Caravelle.
This sleek airliner was impounded in 1983 for illegally transporting weapons - while operating for Coastal Aviation.
The former Alitalia bird (I-DABS) is still wearing its Italian livery. Trying to find a full picture from my collection and will update the post when this is done too!
